It's like every 8 prayer levels for one combat, so you'd only go up a bit but in return you'd get, well, 31 prayer.

I'd say ofcourse get it high! If I were you, I would first get my level 3 account's Prayer level upto 43 for Protect from Melee and then Attack 40, and finally increase my Strength to as far as it can take me till my combat's If u are only getting 31 id say no, you should go for 43 pray you will only get like 5 cb lvl from it and it greatly helps with pfm protect from melle and such.

It all depends on what combat level you are. Go to a Combat calculator Such as the one here from Tip. It , and type in all of your Combat stats, then type in 25, 31, then 43 Prayer respectively to see what Combat level you will be with those levels.

If you plan on staying in low-level BH, then choose the Prayer level which will not make you become higher than level 55 Combat. Also, I personally would increase my prayer to the extent where if I got one more level, I would exceed the Combat maximum for low-level BH I have a good pure that has 43 Prayer, but I don't BH anymore. It's really up to you whether you want Prayer or not. Some people are strictly against Prayer on a pure, whereas others are all for it. There are several obvious reasons why you should or shouldn't, which other people have already covered.

Get your prayer to at least If it will mess up your cb lvl, then get it up as high as you can, because it will reduce damage, especially if you are a mem, where you can use prayer pots. In LOW level crater, imo no. You will hit high enough without relying on pray.
