Why does jgl look so weird in looper

By his younger self …. I mean, sometimes I like a movie that's a casual fun time, but when a movie can offer both things — get your heart rate going and give you something to talk about when you're leaving the cinema — that's my favourite.

I think Looper does that. I remember when we first got the news that he liked the script and that he wanted to do it, that felt like an enormous victory for us," Joseph reveals. At the same time you can't think about that, you have to really focus on the specifics. Even though he is 'Bruce Willis', when we're rolling I don't care. And Bruce was great to work with and he really enjoyed it. Fake nose, fake lips: Joseph was physically transformed to look like Bruce Willis. Each morning before the cameras started rolling, Joseph would be in the make-up chair for hours as experts applied prosthetics to his nose and lips to make him look a little more like Willis.

The make-up artist is Kazuhiro Tsuji, and he is a magician. Later, when Joe goes to kill his next target, the target spins and shields himself with the bars on his back. When the mob wants to eliminate someone, it sends the target into the past, where a hit man known as a looper lies in wait to finish the job. Edge of Tomorrow is rated PG by the MPAA for intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, language and brief suggestive material.

Violence: A character is tasered before being shanghaied into military service. With a few simple steps you can change your Netflix region to a country like Australia and start watching Australian Netflix, which includes Edge of Tomorrow. Source Code is a terrifically exciting and hugely enjoyable sci-fi thriller, written by Ben Ripley.

But the world of Source Code seems to me more interesting, and more able to incubate real drama, real suspense and even some real humour. Joe could start getting to work pretty early, before he even met Bruce. He didn't look at Bruce when he was Joe's age, he looked at him today. He watched Sin City quite a bit. He watched his recent films. That seems like a slight distinction, but I think that was really critical.

Because he was basing his performance on Bruce today, instead of imitating Bruce as a young man. He was creating a new a new character, whom you could buy as the Bruce that's on the screen, instead of doing an imitation of what Bruce was actually like when he was younger.

Also, Johnson said that working with Bruce Willis was exactly like your dream of what working with Bruce Willis would be like. He was cool, but totally focused and committed to working on the part. You've probably heard that Looper is a U. A similar deal was struck for Iron Man 3 , though it's run into trouble. And in fact, Looper seems to hint that in the future where time travel has been invented, China is an ascendant superpower.

So we had to ask Johnson: Did he feel like he was putting a pro-China message into his film in exchange for funding? Not at all What happened was, originally there was that sequence where [Joe] goes off to Paris. That montage, where we see his near future. Because we didn't have the money to go to Paris to shoot, we were faced with the prospect of faking Paris in New Orleans — and as someone who loves Paris, that kind of put a dagger in my heart.

That's when DMG, our Chinese distributor, said, 'Look, if you change it to Shanghai, we can actually bring you over here for a few weeks to shoot in Shanghai. There's something more romantic about Paris, but this actually makes sense to me. And there's nothing else in the script [that was changed] except the setting.
